Obsidian is already a great place to write

Plain Markdown

Your notes are .md files in a vault on your computer.

Yours to keep

Your vault works offline, and it moves with you to any tool that reads Markdown.

Sentilis is the missing layer between your vault and the web

Publish from the note

No copying into a CMS, no Git repository, no build. The note you wrote is the page.

Obsidian embeds work

The plugin resolves ![[embeds]], standard images and attachments automatically.

More than a blog

Publish posts and docs, a bio, products and a visual portfolio from the same vault.

How Obsidian → Sentilis works

  1. 01

    Install the plugin

Download sentilis.zip from the plugin's releases, extract it into .obsidian/plugins/sentilis/ and enable it in Community Plugins.

  2. 02

    Connect your profile

Copy the token from your Sentilis profile and add it in Settings → Sentilis.

  3. 03

    Publish

Right-click a note and choose Sentilis → Publish to Press. Edit and publish again to update the page.

Example: a post, published from a right-click

Give the note a short settings block, embed images the way you always do in Obsidian, and publish it from the note's menu. Everything else in your vault stays private.

Frequently asked questions

Does Sentilis work with Obsidian?

Yes. With the Sentilis plugin, right-click a note and choose Sentilis → Publish to Press, Bio, Market or Gallery. The Sentilis CLI can also publish your vault's Markdown from the terminal.

Do I have to stop using Obsidian?

No. You keep writing in Obsidian and your notes stay in your vault. Sentilis publishes the files you choose to publish.

How do I install the Obsidian plugin?

Download sentilis.zip from the plugin's GitHub releases, extract it into your vault's .obsidian/plugins/sentilis/ folder and enable it in Settings → Community Plugins. Then add your profile token in Settings → Sentilis. It is coming soon to the Community Plugins directory.

Can I keep my Markdown files locally?

Yes. Your files stay on your computer and remain the source of truth. Sentilis publishes them; it doesn't replace them.

Can I publish Markdown files directly?

Yes. Each post, product or work is a .md file with a short settings block at the top. Put it in a folder and run sentilis sync, or publish it from the Obsidian plugin.
