What happens if I exceed the Free limits?
We warn you before you hit a limit. Published content stays live — email sends pause until you upgrade or the monthly counter resets. We never charge surprise overages.
Why a path-based URL on Free?
Subdomains and dedicated SSL certificates have a real operational cost. The path-based URL is what keeps Free sustainable. When you upgrade to Pro you get your own domain.
Can I leave with my content?
Always. Your files are plain Markdown and the publishing CLI is open-source. If you decide to leave there's nothing to export — your content already lives on your hard drive.
Why a transaction fee on Free?
Email and storage on Free have a real cost. The transaction fee is what makes Free sustainable for you today and for us tomorrow. Once you're selling seriously, Pro drops it to 5% and pays for itself.
